How to romance a woman?

My girlfriend and I have been together for 9 years and have been living together for 4 years. She says that she wants to leave me but I can see in her eyes that she still loves me. I've made the mistake of becoming lazy around the house and taking her for granted. This happened gradually and I didn't realize how important such things are to her. How do I win her back? She still cares for me but is now hardening her heart against me to protect herself. How do I show her that I love her? I bought her expensive earrings and she said that money won't fix things?

You need to re-connect and re-establish your bond with her. That is something that money can't buy. There are many ways to show your girlfriend that you care and love her.

- Write her love notes and leave them around the house for her to find.
- Make her dinner (not only once, but on a regular basis)
- Clean up after yourself and help with the household chores without waiting for her to ask you.
- Give her a back rub or foot massage after a hard day at work.
- Show a genuine interest in what she does and how she thinks about things. Really listen to her. Be there for her when she needs a friend to talk to.
- Romance her with words of affection. Tell her how beautiful she looks every day and how lucky you are to have met her and to have her in your life.
- Do at least one romantic gesture a day to make her life easier and happier.
